Parent Letter Faith Reflection

Jesus said, “Love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”/Jesús le respondió:”Amarás al Señor, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con todo tu espíritu. Este es el más grande y el primer mandamiento. El Segundo es semejante al primero: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.—Matt 22:37-39

There’s a story about Leonardo da Vinci asking a student to finish a painting. The student was horrified because they didn’t think they were worthy or able to finish the work of such a great master. Da Vinci stopped them asking, “Will what I have done not inspire you to do your best?”

As da Vinci hoped his workmanship would inspire others to do their best we can do the same when it comes to bearing witness to Jesus through our lives. Jesus has commissioned us to continue his work and inspired by his confidence we can do our best. As Father Antony Kadavil reminds us, “By his Ascension, Christ has not deserted us but has made it possible for the Holy Spirit to enter all times and places. In this way it is possible for each of us to be transformed by the power of the Spirit into agents or instruments of Christ. We become enlivened, and our actions become animated in a new way by the Spirit of the God we love and serve. We have become other Christs in the world.”

Showcasing SHA talent: May this masterpiece by Kane in 6th inspire you to do your best.
