Parent Letter Faith Reflection

Thank you is the best prayer that anyone could say - Alice Walker

With social distancing requirements still in place baseball fans can’t go to the stadiums to watch their teams play. Given this the Dodgers and other teams got creative and have offered their fans a way of being present through purchasing a cardboard cutout of themselves. I thought that was a cool idea when I read about it and would have gotten one, like Mrs. Directo’s family did for her, but having never been to a Dodgers game I decided I wanted my first Dodgers game to be in person.

Having thought cardboard cutouts are a fun way of having those who you are missing feel like they are with you I confirmed this when I walked into First Grade last week and saw their cool cardboard cutouts sitting at their desks. It was like having the kids present and made the room cheerier for Mrs. Marquez now that Miss Morrison is in 4th grade.

Like all of us I’m looking forward to having the kids back in the classroom at some point but until that time we can say thank you for cardboard cutouts and Zoom that keep us connected, learning, and living out our faith; and that thank you is the best prayer we can say.

God bless,
